Students power pay as you go Tesco deals
Tesco?s Telecoms division reported that this quarter there was a large surge in the pay as you go mobile broadband deals because students were busy preparing for a new year studying at the university.
With a record number of students heading to universities this year Tesco Telecoms was able to report that pay as you go mobile deals increased by about 71% because these flexible deals are usually more popular among students.
Students often go for mobile broadband services because it is affordable and does not need a fixed landline which many students do not have in their new lodgings.
Tesco offers a large variety of the pay as you go mobile broadband deals with the lowest priced options starting at under ?20 for a device although top-ups must be purchased to keep the mobile active as time goes by.
The cheapest deal for students is the T-Mobile dongle which is priced at ?19.56 and gives users 30 days of free service when the mobile is topped up by ?2.
Additionally, students can also go the other way and sign into an Orange contract with the mobile which offers students a ?20 HMV discount.
